Spotless Stainless Steel:
Start by cleaning the exterior with hot water and dishwashing liquid. Wipe with a clean, hot, damp cloth to remove the soap then dry with a soft cloth.
Starting at the top of your appliance, working on one section at a time. Spray with furniture polish that contains orange oil. With a soft cloth, wipe in the direction of the grain until streaks are gone.
Wipe surface between oiling with a damp microfiber cloth.
Steam Clean your Microwave:
This is an easy way to loosen food particles that are stuck to the inside of the microwave. Put 2 cups of water into a microwave safe dish. To also freshen up the inside add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or a few slices of lemon / lemon juice. You can use a cup of vinegar to get the same results. Microwave on high for approximately 5 minutes. Carefully take dish out of microwave and wipe clean.
Spot Cleaning Countertops: Did you get a rust stain or a stain from newsprint or packaging or your countertops. You can do the following to remove these stains.
Ink can be removed with a little rubbing alcohol. To remove rust stains-make a paste of baking soda and vinegar and rub gently into the stain. For cleaning dirty gout use 3% hydrogen peroxide. Pour it on the stained grout and cover. Let sit overnight and clean off in the AM.
Safety:
- Always wash your hands thoroughly before preparing food, and wash them frequently through the process-especially after handling raw meat.
- Keep all raw meat and their juices away from produce and all other food items.
- Wash fruits and vegetables before cutting or eating.
- Keep one cutting board reserved for all your raw meat.
Stainless-Steel Sinks:
Always rinse the sink after use. Salty and acidic food particles can cause pitting after prolonged exposure. Use a sudsy sponge or cloth clean and then use a soft cloth to dry. You can also spray the sink with an all-purpose cleaner or glass cleaner, wipe with a soft cloth. To shine up the sink or remove any water spots, dampen a cloth with white vinegar and wipe.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, ammonia or bleach. These cleaners can damage the finish of the sink. Do not use Steel Wool.
Ceramic Sinks:
Clean with a non-abrasive liquid cream cleanser. Do not use bleach or abrasive cleaners. To remove stubborn stains with a sponge soaked in club soda. |
